Think of it as a style playbook that will give you the tools to score a wardrobe touchdown!
This is it. You’re being called up to the big league. Keep reading for outfit inspo so you can create a game plan and solidify a winning season...of style.
Classic Meets Laidback

Go Pokes! This fit is a nod to Savannah 7s owner Ryley Wimer’s alma mater. While you may not share the same love for these Cowboys as she does, the silhouette of this look is easy to cheer for. Bringing together relaxed comfort with chic polish, this game day style gives you a neutral palette to play off of, no matter your team’s colors.
Veteran: The staple white button up. If you don’t have one of these capsule pieces in your closet, pick this one up now! You will wear a white button up everywhere, including to the game. Try updating the placement of the shirttail to give it a fresh look, like buttoning halfway down and tucking each end into the side of your denim allowing just a small amount of skin to show.
Rookie: The barrel jean. This fit of denim is still the new kid on the block, but it’s time to make it a mainstay. This particular pair has an incredible wash and the shape of the barrel isn’t exaggerated. Wearing these will make you feel comfortable and cool.
Denim on Denim

Since Savannah 7s is based in Kansas, we would be remiss if we didn’t feature a home state team. There’s nothing like a “Caturday” in the Little Apple, but if you’re not onboard with a Wildcat Victory, you can channel this K-State look into your own alma mater OOTD. Using denim on denim as a fashion foundation allows you to add in your own team’s colors through accessories.
Veteran: The denim shorts. Football season can stay warm, especially with daytime games, through October depending on where you live. These shorts pair with any top, so even if the weather starts to get chilly, you can match them with a long sleeve. If you don’t have a trusty pair, The Ace denim shorts in the photo are comfortable with a 4.5” inseam, on-trend with the slight distressing, and are timeless so you can break them out again next year.
Rookie: Colorful cowboy boots. Buying a bold color in a boot can be an investment since you will only wear them for specific occasions. But they certainly make a statement and bring playful fun any game day fit should have.
Youthful Polish

If you’re in college, a few years removed, or just like to dress with a youthful spirit, this Texas A&M fit is for you. Denim will forever be a country girl’s favorite closet essential, but take your stadium style up a notch by sporting a denim dress. It not only gives your look a girly touch, it also provides a versatile canvas to build on with your team colors. Don’t forget to add classic jewelry, like petite gold earrings or a necklace to keep your style elevated.
Veteran: Timeless jewelry. Just because you’re attending a sporting event doesn’t mean you can’t bring the bling. Dig around in your jewelry box and find the pieces that are understated yet elegant. And if you don’t have anything other than bold turquoise {believe us, no judgement here} invest in a couple simple gold or silver designs like small hoops or a double layered necklace.
Rookie: The denim dress. While this might seem like a common closet item, many women opt for jeans or shorts instead. Depending on how you style it, a denim dress could be worn year round, and it never loses its popularity. Select a style that is right for your body type and a length you’re comfortable with. Denim dresses give a western and rugged feel while also being feminine and chic.
And for a fun lil' throwback of Ryley and her bestie's, Dani & Tara, living it up in college days!
