Haute on the Ranch: The Road to 'The American' Style

A month has passed since the 2016 Wrangler NFR, and somehow we’re already two full weeks into the new year -- where does the time go?!

The new year always brings about a fresh round of energy, and this time of year, the great wide world of western, ranch and rodeo is a buzz with the kick-off to another PRCA season and the road to The American on February 19. In all honesty, we’re not really sure if we’ll be in Arlington, but like all cowgals who love a reason to dress up their duds, we couldn’t help but pull some of our favorite looks that would be perfect for a Texas-sized day of rodeo action.

First things first, you NEVER know what the weather is going to be like -- it could be 75 or an ice storm… nothing is off limits this time of year in Texas. Regardless, when the sun goes down, you’re likely going to want some sleeves. Here are four of our favorite [timeless] outerwear pieces made for statement, class and a comfortable day at AT&T Stadium.

One thing we love about all of these outerwear pieces is that they’re great for wearing with rolled, distressed skinnies and booties OR the more classic bootcut denim and boots -- a perfect complement to each and every person’s style preference.

For the lady looking for something with a little more flair, we are LOVING our current collection of leather fringe and faux suede shawls. Throw on a fun graphic tank or a set of sleeves (weather pending), some distressed denim and your favorite booties or shorty cowboy boots for a super fun and stylish look.

And finally, we would be completely remiss if we didn’t include a couple of vest options -- because who doesn’t love a good vest? They seem to be our go-to for adding layer, texture and the “just right” amount of polish and no-fuss detail.

Don’t forget to round out your look with your favorite accessories -- it’s safe to say that we never the leave the house without at least three pieces of turquoise -- and we’d likely double that for a day like The American. Until next time, rest assured that we are in the full swing of market trips to Denver, Dallas and Las Vegas for both Spring and Fall 2017 collections -- and we CAN’T WAIT for the all the fun new looks coming your way. Stay tuned over on S7s Instagram for sneak peeks of what’s to come!

Thanks for following along with Savannah Sevens and being such a great follower, Gloria! I believe you’re referring The Kersey cardi — and sadly, we are smooth sold out of those. It doesn’t look like we’re going to be able to get any more back in, but if something changes on that front, we’ll be sure to reach out and let you know. The best way to stay up-to-date on our latest new arrivals is through our Instagram — we typically make our first post about new arrivals there.

Thanks again and all the best from Savannah Sevens!

Please tell me about the piece in the gallery that looks like a knit cocoon type open front jacket with faux fur trim on the shawl collar. It is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Can’t wait to hear back from y’all! As usual, your offerings and gallery photography are stunning!
