If the National Finals Rodeo ever decided to add an eighth event to their nightly performances, we have no doubt a fashion face-off would be in contention. From the fringe and fur to the suede and sparkle, women everywhere put hours into searching for and styling the perfect NFR fit. 

While the focus is usually on what to wear for the evening rounds of the rodeo and its after parties, Savannah Sevens wants to make sure you don’t sleep on your Las Vegas day looks! Cowboy Christmas might be at the top of your itinerary, but there is so much more to do in the desert during sunlight hours and we’re showing you how to dress like it.

Elevated, Not Excessive

The NFR website has assembled an in-depth 9 to 5 schedule of activities for attendees and in addition to shopping the retail marketplaces, it is chock full of rodeo action, live interviews as well as Cowboy Church. While it’s always nice to have a little downtime during the day, these events are an extension of the NFR experience and trust us, you don’t want to miss out!

So how do you pack for functions like the National Finals Breakaway Roping or Miss Rodeo America Horsemanship Competition? Think elevated, not excessive. You want to create an outfit that is polished and put together down to the details without going overboard. Leave the major statement-making fashion moments for your NFR nighttime wardrobe.

First, grab your favorite denim – it’s always in style to be comfortable. Add a neutral top that can look cute standing alone, but pairs appropriately under a blazer or jacket.
