Haute on the Ranch: 3 Looks, 3 Locations {Spring Break Edition}

After the busyness of Christmas and the cold, dark lull of the winter, the idea of a Spring Break getaway with family or friends is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. It’s equal parts change of scenery, relaxation and itinerary of fun.
As you begin to plan out your suitcase style – because we all know what you’re going to wear each day is just as important as what you’ll be doing – Savannah Sevens hopes you can take inspiration from the three looks we’ve put together for three popular Spring Break locations. Whether you’re headed to the beach, the mountains or the dirt arena, these fits will help make packing a breeze while elevating your travel fashion.
So where are we headed to first? Grab your map and put a pin in the Sunshine State.
Spring Break Spot #1: Sunny Getaway to 30A
One of the most talked about vacation destinations in Florida is a 24-mile stretch of beach along the panhandle. Known as 30A, many southerners are flocking to the white sands and crystal blue waters of places like Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach and Seaside.
While most of your trip might be spent oceanside, these dreamy little beach towns are just waiting to be explored and that’s the inspiration behind this look. Throw on the slate blue knit set with a pair of light wash cropped jeans and wedges for a sightseeing trip or relaxing lunch.
Because of the fabric of the knit set, it's breathable and comfortable for those warm days under the sun. You can also use the tie front cardigan as a swimsuit cover-up! Complete the fit with this soft and slouchy golden caramel handbag that will carry all the things plus a cool pair of sunglasses.
Spring Break Spot #2: Ski Lodge in Breckenridge
While many Spring Breakers are booking trips that center around warmer temps, there is something about braving the cold for a trip to the mountains. Along with days spent outdoors on the slopes there are nights sitting around a roaring fire telling stories and drinking hot chocolate.
This traditionally cozy look is inspired by the activities you’ll participate in once you’ve made it downhill. This classic cable knit sweater paired with denim and shearling boots is the kind of style you’ll want to wear exploring the historic and charming downtown of a ski village like Breckenridge. Grab lunch, wander through the museums, or visit an art studio in this fit that will be as comfortable for all of your daytime adventures as it will be for when you return to the lodge for relaxation at night.
Spring Break Spot #3: Houston Rodeo
With 20 days of arena action, plus nightly concerts, a barbecue contest, the livestock show and more, you will definitely need a wardrobe that looks western and wears comfortably.
There is tradition with the Houston Rodeo, as it’s been around since 1932, so we’ve put together a heritage look with modern touches. The foundation of this fit is a retro western button up with a whimsical rancher print. This lightweight 100% cotton top is perfect for enjoying the warm Houston days. From there, we added a velvet quilted vest for an easy throw on layer for that evening performance and trendy 7 for All Mankind denim. To complete the look, we elevated the styling with a half tuck and added a luxe fringe handbag, vintage cowboy hat and boots. It’s timeless yet fashionably fresh.
Savannah 7s Staff Spring Break Memories

“Growing up, my family and I spent our Spring Breaks on the ski slopes of New Mexico and Colorado. The best belly laughs, adventures and stories to tell for a lifetime have made for some of my most favorite core memories!” ~Ryley, Savannah 7s owner
“My senior year of college, I went to Nashville with my sister and one afternoon on Broadway we met a local couple at Tootsie’s who gave us free tickets to a Keith Urban concert. They ended up being front row at The Ryman! That Spring Break trip made us both want to instantly move to Music City.” ~Julee, digital content coordinator
“Heading anywhere warmer than Kansas was my family’s idea of a fun spring break. Florida has always been my favorite, whether we spent time relaxing on a beach or packed our week full of adventure at an amusement park.” ~Peyton, general manager | head of marketing
