Haute on the Ranch: Wrangler NFR Style & ERA Outtakes

This past weekend we took a little break from our respective homesteads to attend the inaugural ERA World Championship Rodeo in Dallas. Our birthdays are only about two weeks apart, and we figured it might be our only chance to get away and do a little celebrating before the holiday shopping and shipping season hits its full stride.

On Friday night of the ERA, we ran into Brittany Pillars of Holy Cow Couture and Brianna Bigbee of The Bleacher Babe during our post-rodeo fun run. Up to this point, we’d really only known them through social media, and we sure enjoyed getting to meet them face-to-face. The crossed-path even resulted in this super cute pic of Brittany and Ryley. :)

Originally we’d discussed going to the Wrangler NFR for our birthdays, but it’s just not an ideal time to get away with the excitement of all of the online Christmas orders being placed. However, as we packed our bags to hit the road to Texas [and knowing the Wrangler NFR is only about two weeks away], we thought it would be a fine time to share some looks we’d likely be taking to Vegas if we were, in fact, making the trek. Here’s what we know:

FAUX, FRINGE and FUR are where it’s at. Day or night, there’s a 99.9% guarantee that we wouldn’t be en route to the Thomas & Mack, Cowboy Christmas or really any Sin City rodeo festivity without one [or all] of these three things.

It’s a common [or chronic?] theme with us that we are the WORST at getting pictures together. However, thanks to Ry’s sweet nephew, we managed to snag this one just before jumping into our Uber after the rodeo on Saturday night. Let’s just say that Cripple Creek and Skully are on point with their western outerwear this season -- complete with the fringe and fur staples!
