Haute on the Ranch: Spring Break Styling
Have you been dreaming of sunny skies, sandy beaches, and clear blue water ever since you put away the Christmas tree and rang in 2024? With the month of March finally upon us, we’re all letting out a Spring Break sigh of relief.
Whether you’re traveling to that tropical locale, vacationing inland, or staying close to home, you might be looking for some style suggestions that check both the fashionable and functional boxes. We’ve put together three looks that will take you from in transit to daily itinerary to finale dinner. All you need to plan on is having fun!
Airport Casual
By plane, train or automobile, when you embark on your vacation, the key is to be comfortable. Chances are you will be running to an airport gate, carrying around heavy luggage, chasing after children, riding hours in a car, or maybe all of these things! While you want to arrive put together to your destination, your outfit also has to be about the journey.
Choose pieces that are relaxed and move with you. Select layers so you can add on if it gets chilly in the flight cabin, or you can remove if you’re working up a sweat. Make sure to utilize a backpack so you have all of your necessary travel items at your fingertips.
One of our favorite products from this styled look is The Overland jacket. It’s literally three pieces in one. It starts as a hooded jacket, and then transitions to a vest and cropped jacket! It’s casual, yet trendy; provides additional layers; and can be worn with multiple outfits during your trip.
Shown: The Overland jacket {styled as the vest}, The Belton high waisted jogger, The Faulkton bodysuit, The Kayde platform bootie, Bex Nova Sunglasses {Matte Silver}, and The Orovada backpack.
Sightseeing Chic
One of the biggest things you can count on while vacationing is taking photos. It’s highly likely that your daily activities are what will fill your Facebook and IG feeds. From sightseeing to shopping and lunching to lounging, let’s just say you’ll want to be cozy, but camera ready.
One of the best pieces you can pack is a pair of denim shorts, in particularly, with a little stretch. No matter what you have planned, they will be comfortable and easy to move around in. They also will match just about any top you bring and are easy to throw on over a swimsuit.
We’ve combined The Tayten jean shorts with this gorgeous Tasha Polizzi top. The colors are so striking, you will stand out in all of your photos. The material is also sheer, so it’s breathable for warmer climates or for when your day requires lots of movement.
The handbag we’ve chosen in this look is for good reason – it’s also a three-in-one product. The Chatham bag can be worn around the waist as a belt bag; across the chest as a bum bag; and on the shoulders as a crossbody bag. Having options with your handbag not only helps when styling an outfit, it’s also beneficial to your safety. The Chatham allows you to carry your valuables close to you where you can see them and access them quickly.

Nighttime Fancy
It’s always a good idea to pack a dress on your trip. You usually spend so many hours out in the sun; find sand in places you didn’t think were possible; and dedicate your days to the kiddie attractions. It feels good to get dressed up at least once during your travels and enjoy adult time.
When choosing your night out attire, think about picking something that is classic and polished. This allows you to pair a variety of footwear and accessories with it, while also attending a variety of outings. In our styled look, the cut and color of The Luray midi dress lends itself to looking both friendly and fancy. Whether it’s just you and your spouse dining by candlelight, or a group of friends laughing and reminiscing under the stars, a classic dress will make you feel put together for whatever your plans call for.
