Haute on the Ranch: Living In Your Livy's

By now, you have probably purchased a pair of The Livy Jean, or at least are contemplating it. A style found only at Savannah Sevens, The Livy Jean has become our denim breakout star. It has sold out twice, with requests for the next restock through the roof! When The Livy relaunched on Sept. 9, we had more orders in a 24-hour period for that one product than we have previously received on Black Friday or Christmas.

For years, western brand Kimes Ranch has produced The Olivia fit in a light wash. In December 2023, Savannah 7s collaborated with Kimes to exclusively launch its sister jean – The Livy. Featuring the same high rise, wide leg and raw hem, what sets The Livy apart is its signature dark wash and striking caramel-colored stitching. Perhaps what has grabbed customers’ attention the most though is its impeccable fit.

If you snagged a pair {or two} of The Livy, you may be searching for a few styling ideas. However you plan to wear them – dressed up, dressed down, fashion forward or traditionally western, we’re happy to provide you with some inspiration! And for those of you intrigued by The Livy but have not yet added them to your cart, we’re excited to share fit tips for when you are ready to hit the checkout button.

Have you been living in your Livy’s?! Trust us, we could sport them every day of the week! Multiple wears means multiple fits, so in case you’re curious about how to change up your look, we’re here to help! Get fashion inspo with our three outfits styled below.

With its gentle stretch, wide leg and raw hem, The Livy lends itself to a relaxed and casual look. We suggest starting with a cozy pullover and tucking it in the front to provide structure and avoid looking sloppy. We selected The Huxley quarter zip because the quilting detail elevates its style and the chartreuse olive shade is a popular color for fall.

Next, add a thick cuff to the hemline of your Livy Jean, hitting at ankle length, to continue that laid-back feel. Finally, slip on a trendy sneaker, like the leather Texicos, and carry a small crossbody or bum bag {The Roca is shown here} to complete that easygoing attitude. And because of how comfortably The Livy fits, you’ll have no problem keeping it casual all day long.

The Livy Jean just might be the perfect blend of modern and traditional. Manufactured by Kimes Ranch, a brand known for producing superior riding denim, The Livy can be worn in the arena while its back pocket longhorn embroidery creates an additional western feel. At the same time, The Livy’s high rise and wide leg aligns with current denim trends.

To style a look that incorporates that modern western vibe, we started with denim on denim and took it to the next level. First, we suggest wearing a denim shirt that is a lighter wash than The Livy, such as The Gambler from Pendleton shown here. The variation in color will create depth to your look.

Next, we added a quilt coat – another hot trend of the season. The cowboy rodeo fabric of The Texline with the quilted embroidery provides rustic charm. Complete the look with your favorite cowgirl touches such as the Blanc Porter hat and The Shiloh boots, plus a touch of bling – we chose the unexpected gold and silver chunky Questa Necklace.

There’s just something about dark denim that looks so right when you’re putting together an elevated look. The Livy’s rich wash is perfect for events and occasions when you want to dress polished without needing to be overly formal.

There is a simplicity to the chicness of this fit. Begin with a clean and classic tank, preferably in an upgraded fabric. We’ve selected The Kinston, a double-lined tank with buttery soft material. To dress up the neckline, we layered a combination of Navajo pearls {The Otoe and The Mesquite} with a whimsically western twilly called the Nisswa Tie Scarf

Next, thick cuff the hemline to ankle length, revealing a pair of wedges, like The Pate, or heels. For an extra elevated detail, have your Livy Jeans starched before cuffing. Finally, grab a blazer or jacket for when the evening gets a bit chilly. The Sartasota jean jacket is a smart selection because of its versatility to look both dressy and casual.

You’ve heard the hype about The Livy Jean and you’re excited to join in on the trend, you just need a little more information before completing your purchase. Understandable! Let us guide you through fit and sizing, plus the value of owning these one-of-a-kind denim.

Fit

The Livy Jean is the sister to The Olivia Jean from Kimes Ranch, meaning the fit is identical. It has a high rise, giving a nice smoothing effect to your tummy. The leg opening is wide enough to fall easily over your boot and provides a lengthening result. The hem is unfinished and can be worn as is, but truly looks its best cuffed. The Livy Jean also has soft stretch, offering all-day comfort.

Sizing

If you’re unfamiliar with the sizing of the Kimes Olivia fit, we’ve got you covered! Compared to your Ariat jeans and other styles of Kimes jeans, The Livy can run bigger. Depending on where you carry your curves, you may stay the same size, or you may size down one or two. We’ve created a chart based on your body type to help you navigate those size questions.

Why The Livy?

It has meant the world to Savannah 7s to hear all of the positive feedback from customers about The Livy Jean. So many women have told us it is their favorite pair they own; many have bought a second pair. So what makes The Livy so special?
