Haute on the Ranch: Hidden Treasures at the NFR
One of the biggest draws at the National Finals Rodeo besides the rodeo itself is the shopping! The most notable place to roam aisle after aisle is Cowboy Christmas, where more than 400 exhibitors put their products on display at the Las Vegas Convention Center. While this feels like you’ve hit the jackpot once you step inside and explore the massive set up, it’s not the only place for retail therapy.
In Savannah Sevens’ fourth installment of our NFR Insider Series, we want to encourage you to shop off the beaten path. Many western makers and designers showcase their handcrafted goods at other locations, but you may not know about them…until now. This is where the one-of-a-kind, made with love pieces are. So what do you say? Let’s go find some hidden treasures at the NFR!

Who To See
Hdwest
Savannah Sevens owner Ryley Wimer and her family always enjoy shopping at the multiple marketplaces while at the NFR. One of her favorite finds was actually given to her by her brother Colter for Christmas.
Ryley received a wine tumbler and winter beanie, both with a hand-painted leather accent. The pieces are from California maker Amanda Richardson who owns Hdwest. Her incredible creative talent of painting desert, southwest and cowboy imagery on leather also eventually made her a featured artist in the Savannah 7s Trailblazing the West series.
Jennifer Casebeer Art
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, at least that’s how Jennifer Casebeer sees it. This Texas artist was brought to our attention by customer Britten Wallace. She takes discarded items and puts her own stamp on them with custom artwork. Britten tells us Jennifer is usually painting at her booth when you stop by to shop.
If you have a favorite maker that you’ve shopped with while at the NFR, let us know in the comment section!
