Haute On The Ranch: Western Couture & Whitney Benton On NFR Style!

Read the 2019 NFR Style Experience.

The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is a must see spectacle for all rodeo and western enthusiasts. The king of all rodeos, the crowing of champions; the NFR brings the best of the best that rodeo has to offer. While many will travel to the neon city to watch these rodeo athletes compete, a vast majority will also be in attendance walking their way into fashion history. Whether you’re aware of it or not, the Wrangler NFR is a must-see event for all fashion lovers! While there may be plenty of talk about rankings and stats and bulls that buck, there is sure to be talk about the best in western fashion. Planning your NFR wardrobe can be daunting, especially if you’re traveling via airplane!  As ladies, we know all about the dreaded task of squeezing all of our belongings into one small suitcase in hopes of avoiding any of those frustrating additional airline fees. I’ve decided to pull together six must have outfits that can easily take your look from day to night and all of the events in-between! These styles are sure to ease your packing nightmare and lighten your suitcase load!

First up, I’ve pieced together an outfit that can withstand a long day of traveling while maintaining a pulled-together look for when you arrive at your destination.  This rust colored top features a criss-cross cutout design on the shoulders and a figure flattering v-cut front.  I’ve paired it with a floral stamped leather belt and vintage sterling and turquoise buckle for just the right amount of class to an otherwise effortless look!

Does this outfit look familiar?—That’s right, instead of planning an entirely new wardrobe I’ve simply transformed my look with the use of a comfortable and fashionable shawl.  Layering on versatile pieces is a great way to change-up any look and even better yet, it lightens the chore of packing!

We all know the phrase, “when in rome”.  Well chances are, that when you’re in Vegas you’ll likely find an occasion or two that requires a dressier look.  If you aren’t interested in pulling out those formal gowns, then consider piecing together your favorite blouse with a simple skirt!  I love this flattering floral print blouse—featured in a stunning teal color with bell-sleeves, dressing up your look has never been easier!

This outfit just screams “VEGAS”! If you’re looking for fun, then dig through you closet and pull out those graphic tees.  Dress it up with a fun skirt and top your look off with another layer like this Tasha Polizzi denim tunic!  Funky as it is fun—this look is sure to turn heads!

By now you may be sensing a trend.  This season, I am all about this gorgeous rust color!  This stunning dress features an off the shoulder look and high low hem.  It’s light weight with great movement for all day comfort that’s classy enough to get you through anything Vegas has to offer!

Finally, I’ve pulled out a Fall-worthy look with a classic western twist.  This gorgeous cream sweater features a tie-front and split hem sides.  I love the versatility of this piece!  Wear it alone or spice it up with a fur fling.  Either way, you’re sure to feel like the queen of country in this statement piece.
