Haute on the Ranch: Step Inside Our Styling Studio Renovation

Western warmth. Refined comfort. Purposeful luxury. When you step inside the styling studio here at Savannah Sevens, you are immediately transported to one of those ranch homes you often only see in magazines.

A 360-square-foot space once packed to the gills with racks of clothing and shelves of denim, it now has an intentional layout, custom furnishings, and an overall stylish design. That’s because a renovation of the studio began in Spring 2023 after owner Ryley Wimer believed the space wasn’t being used to its full potential.

On Oct. 10, the styling studio’s makeover was completed and a soft reveal was given to those who tuned in to watch the live launch of Savannah 7s new furniture collection with Designer’s Brew. Consider this blog your personal invitation to experience the space. Come with us as we showcase its past, its new purpose and the pride Savannah 7s has in this incredible passion project.

When Ryley started Savannah 7s a decade ago, the styling studio did not exist; not just the concept or the space, but even the physical structure itself. As the business started to outgrow its original shop, Ryley’s father constructed an addition, and that small building was eventually moved to Savannah 7s current location.

Once transplanted, the space became a mishmash of things: a desk was placed in one corner for Ryley’s office while aisles of hanging clothing flanked another part of the room. There was a display that Ryley’s father built to house footwear and exhibit jewelry, with just enough space to take photos of new product.

“The old space is where my newborn babies were brought to work every day,” Ryley reminisces. “But I knew it wasn’t being used to its full capacity and I wanted to explore a complete renovation.”

Ryley’s idea was to create a styling studio that reflected the same quality, class and character that Savannah 7s apparel and accessories are known for. A longtime fan of Brett McPherson with Oklahoma-based design firm, Designer’s Brew, she reached out to the interior designer to help bring her vision to life.

Brett was equally a fan of Ryley’s and when the two started planning the space, a light bulb went off that in addition to custom making furniture for the styling studio, those same pieces should become a collection available to the public.

After the two ladies traveled to North Carolina to architect each furnishing by choosing shape, fabric, color and detail, the styling studio had its furniture and the Designer's Brew x Savannah 7s Furniture Collection was born. Work on the studio and furnishings took place over the last eight months and the finished product is nothing short of extraordinary.

“My favorite part of the space is when the neon lights are glowing from behind the bar with the Savannah Sevens Texhoma Cowboy Hat pendant lights over top of the Dash for Cash Barstools and the row of our denim illuminated next to it,” said Ryley. “I’m just in love!”

Each part of the styling studio features a piece of furniture from the Designer's Brew x Savannah 7s collection, and has been thoughtfully laid out allowing for unique imagery of the products, styling videos, and live events.

In one corner, there are interchangeable wallpaper backdrops with the Easy Jet Chair, and straight across from that sits the Hancock Fringe Swivel against the studio’s statement Swiss Cross patterned white walls.

Turquoise Ottoman

The jewelry and footwear display Ryley’s father built still lives in the space, now with the addition of the new Metallic Cat Ottoman to sit down and try on boots. Across from that, the richness of the leather on the Doc Bar Sofa just pops in photos and speaks to every cowgirl’s soul.

In the middle of the styling studio sits the Slick By Design Ottoman, outfitted in cacti nailhead detail, creating the perfect spot to lay out outfit ideas and showcase individual products.

And at the front of the room near the entrance is the Denim Bar, an idea originally sparked by Ryley’s husband. When Brett and Ryley were designing the space, Brett playfully asked Michael Wimer what was missing and he jokingly said, “a bar!” That inspired the ladies to create the Denim Bar – an area to display all of the different styles of jeans Savannah 7s carries as well as showcase men’s products.

“The Denim Bar also brings to life my dream of having a boot-stitched piece of furniture!” said Ryley. “This is where the Dash for Cash Barstools were born.”

In addition to the styling studio being aesthetically eye-catching, it will also enhance the customer experience.

“Seeing the product being lived in makes it easier for the Savannah Sevens customers to envision themselves in the product,” said Ryley. “The elevated look of the space now truly matches the level of quality, class and character we’re known for.”
